What we’re aiming for

We build this site toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That standard is the practical benchmark for making a website usable by people with a wide range of disabilities.

What that means in practice

Things we build for deliberately:

• Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator
• Text contrast meets the AA ratio against its background
• Headings run in a logical order so screen readers can navigate the page
• Images that carry meaning have text alternatives
• Forms have real labels, not placeholder text pretending to be labels
• The site reflows to a phone screen without horizontal scrolling
• Interactive content, including the 2-minute check, is operable without a mouse

Where we know we fall short

Being honest is more useful than claiming perfection:

• Some third-party embedded content — forms and scheduling tools provided by our software vendors — is outside our direct control. We raise accessibility issues with those vendors when we find them.
• Older material published before this standard was adopted may not fully meet it. We fix it as we touch it.

We don’t claim full conformance, because a claim we can’t stand behind is worth less than an honest description.
